For the Museum of International Folk Art’s Appearances Deceive: Embroideries by Policarpio Valencia exhibit, I served as the Animation and Video Specialist at Ideum, where I helped bring the intricate textile works of Valencia (1853–1931) to life in an immersive, interactive format. Collaborating closely with our design team, I developed animated sequences and projection elements that allowed visitors to explore every stitch and motif in extraordinary detail. My process involved translating high-resolution scans of the artist’s embroideries into dynamic, touch-responsive visuals—carefully preserving the texture, color, and depth of each piece while creating an engaging digital experience that reflected the themes of spirituality, morality, and mortality present in Valencia’s work.
