Over the summer I finished the bird base mesh in Maya, I focused on primary and secondary shapes in wing feathers and tail feathers. The face topology was an interesting task, as I haven't seen many bird models before, having the beak and eyes were a struggle but eventually I figured it out. I am hoping to take this into zbrush and sculpt out some secondary and tertiary feathers and well as pin feathers on the head to make it look more intimidating and less like a seagull haha.

Additionally, I had modeled more kite variations for the short. The professor provided some great feedback regarding the old designs not having enough whimsy and variation so I focused on making more interesting silhouette and shapes.






As of this and next week I will be working mostly on creating a new layout animatic with my teammate Jay by set dressing and setting up the cameras.
